How To Optimize Win 10 [2004] – Tuning for DCS World and VR

GPU SCHEDULING – OFF
NOTE: For beefier Simulation Rigs, GPU Scheduling shows more of an FPS loss than gain.

If you’re tuning your machine for DCS World and VR, GPU Scheduling may slow you up. If you have a less powerful Rig and haven’t gone through tuning, you may see a small gain.
It won’t take the place of spending the time to tune properly!

Game Mode – OFF

Also critical to ensure the background processes critical to DCS (and FS2020) have room to run. Keep this OFF.

    Keep game mode on. It has nothing but benefits. Turning it of will _never_ increase performance

    What they are probably talking about is the background recording that is on by default.
    turn it of by pressing win+G then clicking the settings icon, then turn off “Record in the background while I’m playing a game”
